Green Accelerator Capital Fund™

E-R is developing a "Green Accelerator Capital Fund™" or "GACF", with a targeted pool of $50 million which will invest in promising and sustainable new technologies in renewable energy, energy conservation and distribution industries mainly targeted at intellectual property developed at Stony Brook University's Advanced Energy Renewable Technology Center (AERTC), Brookhaven National Labs (BNL), and other Government and University facilities. E-Renewables seeks to identify promising opportunities and fuel their growth with resources from a variety of sources. We work with companies through E-Renewables and the AERTC Advisory Board and BNL to define their capital needs and to identify the best sources and staging of these funds.

Companies will also benefit from the E-Renewables' extensive funding network which includes government sources, endowments, foundations, venture groups, angels, and our active participation in trade organizations. E-Renewables will collaborate with these organizations to leverage funding, and facilitate the transition from the research stage to the commercial stage. Our services include:

  • Direct investments by the GACFTM - often in partnership with other funding sources producing the right investment mix with regard to investment time horizon, risk/ reward structure and portfolio allocation.
  • Experienced assistance in raising funds for subsequent stages of financing.
  • Customized consulting on specific funding sources and programs.
  • Consulting in the availability and preparation of federal and state grants and loans.
Eligible companies should consider locating the AERTC who are in the renewable energy or energy conservation/ distribution technology industries including:
  • Bio-processing /Biomass
  • Geothermal
  • Solar/ Photovoltaic
  • Fuel Cells
  • Wind Power
  • Hydrogen Power
  • Nanotechnology
